Prior to founding daydream, Thenuka was CEO at Flixed, which he bootstrapped to 400K+ visitors per month and millions in revenue using programmatic SEO.

Flixed's success with programmatic SEO is what inspired Thenuka to found daydream. "The fundamental nature of search is undergoing its biggest shift in 20 years," Thenuka said. "The possibilities that has for how businesses acquire customers is beyond exciting."

Thenuka was also Chief of Staff to the COO at Pango ($100M+ in revenue, backed by Accel, 8VC) and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Hustle Fund.

Thenuka has found value in his career through working on things he enjoys with people he likes. "My fulfillment at work amidst all the ups and downs comes from working with great people," he said. "That includes that daydream team, but also all the wonderful customers and employees I get to interact with on a daily basis."
